Close To You Lyrics – Lady Gaga

[Chorus]
In the chorus, Lady Gaga uses nature-based metaphors to illustrate the magnetic presence of the person she admires. Birds and stars are symbols of beauty and awe, and their appearance around this person reflects how the singer, too, longs to be close to them. The chorus emphasizes the overwhelming desire shared by both the singer and the natural world to stay near this extraordinary individual.

[Verse 1]
This section introduces a dreamy image of the person’s birth, where angels are said to have come together to create a perfect being. The moon dust in their hair and starlight in their eyes represent their ethereal beauty, something that sets them apart from others. Gaga portrays this individual as a product of heavenly design, adding to their allure and the sense of magic surrounding them.

[Chorus]
Here, the chorus repeats, highlighting how the person is admired not just by the singer but by all the girls in town. [Verse 2]
This verse repeats the imagery of the first, reaffirming the angelic origins of the person’s beauty. The repetition serves to deepen the idea that this individual is a unique, divine creation, whose beauty is as timeless and captivating as the elements of the universe.

[Chorus]
The final chorus brings the song to a close, echoing the singer’s longing to be close to this remarkable person. The repetition of "close to you" underscores the emotional connection Lady Gaga feels, emphasizing that her desire to stay near them is all-consuming and shared by others.
