Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on March 28, 1986, in Manhattan, New York, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, and fashion icon known for her eclectic style and musical versatility. Raised by her Italian-American father, Joseph Germanotta, an internet entrepreneur, and her mother, Cynthia, a philanthropist and business executive, Gaga was musically inclined from an early age. She began playing the piano by ear at four and attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart, where she was often bullied for her eccentric appearance and habits.

Gaga’s passion for music led her to perform at open mic nights in New York City by the age of 14. At 17, she gained early admission to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she honed her songwriting skills and delved into topics such as art, religion, and social issues.
