Zé Neto

José Toscano Martins Neto, better known as Zé Neto, was born on February 9, 1990, in São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, Brazil. He is widely recognized as one half of the popular sertaneja duo Zé Neto & Cristiano, a prominent force in the Brazilian music scene.

Growing up surrounded by the sounds of sertaneja music, Zé Neto was deeply influenced by artists such as João Paulo & Daniel, Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano, and Leandro & Leonardo. In 2011, he teamed up with Cristiano Vaccari to form Zé Neto & Cristiano. Their debut album Entre Amigos (2012) introduced them to the music world, featuring collaborations with renowned artists like Cristiano Araújo and Matheus & Kauan.

The duo’s breakthrough came in 2015 with their live album Ao Vivo em São José do Rio Preto, which included the hit “Seu Polícia.” Their 2018 EP Acústico showcased their versatility, with the single “Largado às Traças” topping the charts and cementing their status as one of Brazil’s top sertaneja acts.

Throughout their career, Zé Neto & Cristiano have garnered multiple awards, including the prestigious Troféu Imprensa for Best Sertaneja Duo and the 2019 Prêmio Multishow de Música Brasileira for Duo of the Year. Their discography is filled with successful albums and EPs, with their latest release Intenso dropping in 2024. Zé Neto’s enduring influence in the sertaneja genre highlights his contribution to Brazilian music, earning him a dedicated fan base nationwide.
