YUTA (ユウタ)

Nakamoto Yuta, known on stage simply as YUTA (ユウタ), is a Japanese singer, dancer, and radio personality who has become a global icon in the K-pop world. Born on October 26, 1995, in Kadoma, Osaka, YUTA initially dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player. However, everything changed when he discovered K-pop legends TVXQ, igniting a passion for music that led him down a completely different path. With no formal training in singing or dance, he bravely auditioned for SM Entertainment’s global audition in Osaka in 2012—and made it. That bold leap not only marked the beginning of his career but also made him the first Japanese artist to debut under the prestigious South Korean label.

YUTA was introduced to the public through SM Rookies in 2013 and officially debuted with NCT 127 in 2016 as a lead dancer, sub-vocalist, and sub-rapper. Over the years, he’s become known for his intense stage presence, versatility, and deep connection with fans. His artistic journey reached a new milestone in October 2024 with the release of his solo EP Depth, led by the striking single “Off the Mask,” which highlighted his personal style and musical depth.
