WONWOO (원우)

Jeon Wonwoo (전원우), born on July 17, 1996, in Changwon, South Korea, is a South Korean rapper, vocalist, and songwriter signed to Pledis Entertainment. He is widely recognized as a member of the globally acclaimed K-pop group SEVENTEEN, where he plays a pivotal role as the lead rapper and a core part of the Hip-Hop Team. Known for his calm presence and rich, resonant voice, Wonwoo trained for four years before debuting with SEVENTEEN on May 26, 2015. Since then, he has steadily built a reputation not only for his lyrical delivery but also for his artistry behind the scenes, having contributed to the creation of over 35 tracks within the group’s expansive discography.

In 2024, Wonwoo teamed up with fellow SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan to form the sub-unit Jeonghan X Wonwoo (JxW). Their debut single album This Man, released on June 17, 2024, quickly broke records, becoming the highest first-week seller among K-pop sub-units at the time.
