Wet

Wet is an American indie pop band that originated in Brooklyn, New York, in 2012. The trio consists of Kelly Zutrau on vocals, Joe Valle on production, and Marty Sulkow on guitar. Wet started by recording demos that showcased their distinct sound, which led to the release of their debut EP in 2014 under Neon Gold Records. This laid the foundation for their unique style, which blends emotive lyrics with an ethereal sound.

In 2016, Wet released their debut album Don’t You through Columbia Records, earning critical praise for its heartfelt and atmospheric tracks. The album’s combination of indie pop and electronic elements captured the attention of fans and critics alike. Two years later, in 2018, the band followed up with Still Run, which further refined their signature sound and continued to explore deep emotional themes.

After a brief hiatus, Wet returned in 2021 with their third studio album, Letter Blue, released through AWAL. The album marked a new phase in the band’s evolution, continuing their exploration of personal reflection and emotional vulnerability while maintaining their ethereal musical style. Fans welcomed the album’s introspective nature, which further solidified Wet’s place in the indie pop scene.

In 2024, Wet released “Double,” the lead single from their upcoming album Two Lives, set for release on April 4, 2025. As they continue to grow and evolve, Wet’s emotive songwriting and atmospheric sound remain their trademarks, earning them a dedicated fanbase and a lasting impact on the indie pop genre.
