About tripleS

tripleS is a South Korean 24-member multinational girl group formed by Modhaus, hailed as the first decentralized idol group in K-pop. With a unique, fan-centered approach, tripleS integrates NFT technology to empower fans in deciding the group’s direction. Through purchasable NFTs called “Objekts,” fans vote on key decisions, such as sub-unit formations, music styles, and activities. This engagement gives fans unprecedented influence, shaping the group’s identity, creative choices, and musical output. The name “tripleS” reflects the concept of “The Idol of All Possibilities,” with “S” standing for “Social, Sonyo, and Seoul,” highlighting the group’s foundation in fan connectivity, youthful energy, and South Korean culture.

Modhaus introduced tripleS in 2022, creating a buzz with their approach to member reveals, unveiling new members bi-weekly to build anticipation and deepen fan connections. Before joining tripleS, several members had experience in entertainment, with backgrounds in acting, modeling, or training under other entertainment companies, which added to the group’s talent pool and diverse skill set. As members joined, they participated in various activities to connect with fans, setting the stage for tripleS to pioneer a decentralized idol concept.

October 2022 marked a key milestone for tripleS with the debut of their first sub-unit, Acid Angel from Asia, which released the EP Access. This initial sub-unit achieved significant commercial success, topping iTunes’ U.S. K-pop charts, and solidified tripleS as a formidable presence in K-pop. Shortly after, Modhaus launched an official tripleS app, “Cosmo,” where fans could buy and trade Objekts to vote on group decisions, further integrating them into the tripleS experience.

In early 2023, tripleS reached another turning point, debuting as a 10-member group with their first EP, Assemble, which featured the lead single “Rising.” This release reinforced their reputation as an innovative group in K-pop. Soon after, their second sub-unit, +(Kr)ystal Eyes, released their EP, Aesthetic, further diversifying the group’s musical repertoire and reaching a wide audience. tripleS then embarked on its first world tour, with Lovelution performing in the U.S. and Evolution in Australia, expanding their international reach and fan engagement. Evolution also released their EP Mujuk in 2023, showcasing their versatility and commitment to a variety of musical styles.

The full-group debut in 2024 marked a new era for tripleS. On May 8, they introduced all 24 members with the album Assemble24, featuring the lead single “Girls Never Die,” which earned them their first music show win. Fans continued to guide the group’s direction with new sub-units and evolving themes, including the announcement of Visionary Vision (VV), a performance-based unit, and Hatchi, their first Japanese sub-unit. These additions continued to shape the group’s extensive discography and appeal across genres, allowing each sub-unit to showcase unique styles.

tripleS’s novel concept has redefined fan-artist relationships by encouraging active fan participation, which is deeply integrated into the group’s artistic decisions and future planning. This approach not only provides fans with a hands-on experience but also maintains a fluid and evolving group structure that adapts to the fans’ changing interests and musical tastes. As tripleS grows and expands its influence, it has set a precedent for fan-driven dynamics in the K-pop industry, embodying a vision of innovation, interaction, and adaptability that distinguishes them within the global music scene. Their commitment to creative experimentation and inclusivity has made them a significant force in K-pop, with a distinctive edge that engages audiences worldwide.
