THE EDGE BAND

The Edge Band, formed in 1998 in Pokhara, Nepal, is a highly influential pop-rock group renowned for their catchy tunes and engaging live performances. The band’s original members—Binaya Gurung, Roshan Gurung, Sunil Gubaju, Bikash Singh, Asok Sundas, Kristina Shrestha, and lead vocalist Jeewan Gurung—came together with a shared love for music, creating a distinctive sound that appeals to audiences both in Nepal and internationally.

Their debut album, Mero Asu, released in 2000, introduced them to the Nepali music scene, and their follow-up, Vibes with Vajra, released in 2006, solidified their position in the industry. The band continued to evolve, releasing Alag in 2013 and Gantabya in 2017, each album showcasing their growth and expanding musical influences.

The Edge Band has maintained a strong connection with their fanbase through electrifying live performances at concerts and festivals, not just in Nepal but also in countries like Japan, Australia, the USA, and the UAE. Their involvement in charitable initiatives, such as fundraising concerts to establish a zoo in Pokhara, demonstrates their commitment to giving back to their community.

The band’s contributions to Nepali music have earned them significant recognition, including the Best Lyric Award for “Dukha Diyera” at the Pokhara Music Awards and nominations at the Tuborg Image Awards. Their ability to blend traditional Nepali elements with modern rock music has earned them a loyal following and a lasting place in Nepal’s vibrant musical scene.
