Benny Sings, born Tim van Berkestijn on April 28, 1977, in Dordrecht, Netherlands, is a renowned Dutch musician, songwriter, and producer. Raised in a musically inclined family, Benny began his journey in music during high school when he formed the band The Loveboat. He later refined his craft at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where he studied sonology, which helped shape his unique sound.

Adopting the name Benny Sings in 1999, he soon emerged as a solo artist, releasing a series of influential albums.
