Teyana Me Shay Jacqueli Taylor, born on December 10, 1990, in Harlem, New York City, is a multifaceted American artist known for her remarkable career as a singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, choreographer, model, and music video director. Raised by her mother, Nikki Taylor, Teyana’s heritage blends African-American and Trinidadian roots, which has influenced both her personal and professional life.

Teyana’s rise to fame began at the age of 15 when she signed with Pharrell Williams’ Star Trak Entertainment, later gaining national attention after appearing on MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16” in 2007. In 2012, she joined Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, which led to the release of her debut studio album, “VII,” in 2014. She continued to release music under G.O.O.D. Music, with notable projects like “K.T.S.E.” in 2018 and “The Album” in 2020.

Not only a talented musician, Teyana has made significant contributions as a choreographer, working on Beyoncé’s “Ring the Alarm” music video at just 15 years old.
