TEMPEST (템페스트)

TEMPEST (템페스트) is a South Korean boy group formed by Yuehua Entertainment. Initially debuting as a seven-member group, TEMPEST now consists of six members: LEW, Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, Eunchan, and Taerae. They made their official debut on March 2, 2022, with the mini album It’s ME, It’s WE, which included the lead single “Bad News.”

The group was introduced to the public in early 2022, with individual member teasers released between January 19 and 22. Their debut, however, was delayed after all the members tested positive for COVID-19, but it was rescheduled to March 2, 2022. TEMPEST’s debut was highly anticipated, and they quickly captured attention with their debut album.

In 2022, TEMPEST released their third mini album ON and ON, with the title track “Dragon (飞上)” gaining impressive success. The song not only topped Bugs’ real-time chart but also helped the group earn their first music show win on MBC M’s Show Champion on November 30, 2022.

The group’s fandom is known as “iE.” Although TEMPEST was initially a seven-member group, one member, Hwarang, left the group in August 2024. Throughout their career, TEMPEST has gained recognition for their dynamic performances and rapid rise in the K-pop scene.
