Tayc

Tayc, born Julien Franck Bouadjie Kamgang on May 2, 1996, in Marseille, France, is a Cameroonian-French artist redefining the sound of modern R&B with his smooth blend of Afrobeat, soul, and pop. After moving to Paris in 2012, he first explored theatre and dance before fully diving into music—a decision that would soon make him one of the most captivating voices in the Francophone music world.

He kicked off his journey with mixtapes Alchemy (2017) and H.E.L.I.O.S (2018), but it was the release of Nyxia in 2019 that truly put Tayc on the map. The triple album, rich with themes of love, longing, and cultural identity, included tracks like “Ewondo ou Bami,” which paid homage to his Cameroonian roots.

In 2020, he reached new heights with Fleur froide, a project that resonated deeply with fans and earned triple platinum certification. Its follow-up, Fleur froide – Second état: la cristallisation, only solidified his place in the French R&B scene.

Tayc is more than just a musician. He won the 11th season of Danse avec les stars in 2021 and made his acting debut in Netflix’s Christmas Flow. In 2024, he joined forces with Dadju for their collaborative album Héritage, merging their distinctive styles.
