About Dadju

Dadju, born Dadju Djuna Nsungula on May 2, 1991, in Bobigny, France, is a French-Congolese artist who has carved out a distinct space in modern music with his smooth blend of R&B, Afrobeat, and pop. Music runs deep in his blood—his father was part of the legendary Congolese band Viva La Musica, and his older brother is none other than Maître Gims, one of France’s biggest musical exports.

Dadju first stepped into the spotlight as part of the duo The Shin Sekaï alongside rapper Abou Tall. The group gained a strong following with their emotive lyrics and catchy melodies, releasing two mixtapes and the album Indéfini before going their separate ways in 2016.

That same year, Dadju launched his solo career and dropped his debut album Gentleman 2.0 in 2017, which became a massive hit in France. The album featured songs like “Reine” and “Jaloux,” which turned into anthems and solidified his reputation as a master of love ballads.

In 2019, he pushed his artistry further with Poison ou Antidote, a double album that balanced vulnerability with swagger. He followed it with Cullinan in 2022, reaffirming his place among the top voices in French urban music.

Dadju’s talents don’t stop at music—he also made his acting debut in the 2022 romantic drama Ima, where he starred in the lead role. Whether he’s singing, writing, or acting, Dadju continues to captivate hearts across generations, bringing emotion and elegance to everything he touches.
