Hailing from Berkeley, California, he first made waves not with a mic, but on the basketball court. As a standout player at Deer Valley High School in Antioch, he dropped a record-breaking 47-point game and averaged 26 points per match. But at 17, his passion for music took over, steering him away from hoops and into the rap game.

Inspired by legends like JAY-Z and Lil Wayne, Symba started honing his craft alongside Bay Area artists such as Young Curt. His early grind led him to open for heavyweights like YG, Tyga, and DJ Mustard, setting the stage for his breakout moment. In 2015, he dropped 2 More Words, a mixtape featuring Marc E. Bassy and IamSu!, officially putting his name on the map.

His career skyrocketed when a string of fiery freestyles caught the attention of LeBron James, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg. That momentum led to a deal with Atlantic Records and the release of Don’t Run From R.A.P. in 2020. Featuring collaborations with 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla $ign, and Moneybagg Yo, the project proved Symba wasn’t just another rapper—he was here to stay.
