Jon Bellion is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer known for his genre-blending sound that fuses pop, R&B, hip-hop, and electronic elements. Born Jonathan David Bellion on December 26, 1990, in Lake Grove, New York, he grew up on Long Island, where he first pursued basketball before realizing music was his true calling. He enrolled at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, New York, to refine his skills, but soon left to focus on his own creative journey.

Bellion’s career took off in 2011 with the release of his debut mixtape, Scattered Thoughts Vol. 1, which gained traction online. His songwriting abilities quickly caught the industry’s attention—he co-wrote The Monster by Eminem and Rihanna, a global hit that won a Grammy, and also contributed to Jason Derulo’s Trumpets.
