Sachin-Jigar

Sachin–Jigar is a dynamic Indian music composer duo consisting of Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, known for their innovative compositions in both Bollywood and Gujarati cinema. Originally from Gujarat, the two musicians have become well-established figures in the Mumbai music scene. Their versatility as composers, music directors, singers, and arrangers has earned them widespread recognition for crafting memorable soundtracks across various genres.

Before teaming up as a duo, both Sachin and Jigar worked as assistants to acclaimed music director Pritam. During this time, they gained valuable experience by programming and arranging music for several top composers, including A. R. Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Anu Malik, Nadeem–Shravan, and Sandesh Shandilya. Their paths crossed while working with Pritam, and recognizing their chemistry and potential, Pritam suggested that Sachin and Jigar collaborate as a duo. Taking his advice, they began working together in 2009 and composed their first song for the film Life Partner, marking the beginning of their musical journey as a team.

In 2011, Sachin–Jigar made their independent debut as music composers with the film F.A.L.T.U, which became a significant turning point in their careers. Following this success, they composed for a number of hit films, including OMG – Oh My God!, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum, ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, Shuddh Desi Romance, Go Goa Gone, Ramaiya Vastavaiya, and more. Their music, often infused with fresh sounds and catchy melodies, quickly gained popularity among Bollywood audiences.

The duo’s versatility became more apparent as they continued to work on a range of projects. In 2014, they composed the soundtrack for Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, a film produced by Dharma Productions, further solidifying their presence in Bollywood. The following year, they composed the music for Badlapur, a critically acclaimed film, and also contributed to the sequel ABCD 2. Another highlight of their career was composing for Hero, which featured a song sung by superstar Salman Khan, garnering them additional attention.

In 2018, Sachin–Jigar took a significant step in their career by launching their own venture, White Noise Studios. This A&R (Artists and Repertoire) company was established with the aim of discovering and nurturing new talent in the Indian music industry. Through this platform, the duo seeks to provide opportunities for emerging artists to break into the competitive world of film music. This initiative reflects Sachin and Jigar’s commitment to giving back to the industry that helped shape their careers.

Their subsequent work includes composing soundtracks for popular films such as A Gentleman (2017), Stree (2018), Gold (2018), Arjun Patiala (2019), Made in China (2019), Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021), Bhoot Police (2021), Bhediya (2022), Govinda Naam Mera (2022), and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (2023). Each project showcases their ability to adapt to different styles and genres, from romantic melodies to high-energy dance tracks, which keeps them relevant and in demand.

Throughout their career, Sachin–Jigar have demonstrated their passion for creating music that resonates with a wide audience. Their contributions to Bollywood and regional cinema, combined with their efforts to support new talent, have made them influential figures in the Indian music industry.
