Rao completed her Post Graduation in Applied Statistics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, before embarking on a career in music. Initially, she worked as a jingle singer, which helped her establish important industry connections. Her significant break came with the song “Tose Naina” from the 2007 film Anwar, composed by Mithoon.
