Rio Da Yung OG, born Da’mario Donshay Horne-McCullough on May 11, 1994, in Flint, Michigan, is a rapper and songwriter known for his unfiltered, raw lyrics that have resonated with fans across the region. He began his career in 2017, quickly gaining attention for his prolific output and direct approach to storytelling. His discography includes mixtapes like Testers, Ghetto Babes, and City on My Back, each showcasing his distinct style. Collaborations with fellow Flint rapper RMC Mike, including projects like Dum and Dumber and Dum N Dumbber 3, solidified Rio’s place in the Michigan rap scene.

In 2019, Rio’s career was interrupted by legal troubles when he was charged with federal crimes alongside 14 other individuals. He pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm related to drug trafficking and was sentenced to five years in prison.
