Prince Royce, born Geoffrey Royce Rojas on May 11, 1989, in The Bronx, New York, is a Dominican-American artist who has redefined modern bachata with a fresh, global twist. Blending the soul of traditional Latin rhythms with smooth R&B and pop vibes, he’s become one of the genre’s most influential voices.

Raised in a tight-knit Dominican family, Royce grew up surrounded by music. As a teen, he began writing poetry and lyrics, slowly transforming his love for words into songs. By high school, he was recording demos and chasing his dream. That dream took a major leap forward when he connected with producer Andrés Hidalgo, who introduced him to Sergio George—one of Latin music’s biggest names. Together, they brought Royce’s debut album to life in 2010.
