William Nzobazola, better known as Ninho, is a leading figure in the French rap scene. Born on April 2, 1996, in Longjumeau, France, he comes from a Congolese background, with both of his parents emigrating from the Democratic Republic of Congo in the early ’90s. Growing up in the Yerres area of Paris, Ninho developed a passion for rap music at a young age, inspired by American icons like T.I., Gucci Mane, and Young Thug. He started rapping at just 12 years old, steadily building his unique style and voice in the music world.
Ninho’s career took off with his 2013 mixtape Ils sont pas au courant Vol. 1, followed by En attendant I.S.P.A.C 2 in 2014. However, it was his 2016 mixtape M.I.L.S (Maintenant Ils Le Savent) that made him a household name, going platinum in France. He continued to rise with successful albums like Comme prévu (2017), M.I.L.S 2.0 (2018), Destin (2019), M.I.L.S 3.0 (2020), Jefe (2021), and NI (2023), with both Destin and M.I.L.S 3.0 earning diamond certifications.
Beyond his solo work, Ninho has collaborated with other heavyweights in the industry, such as Niska on the album GOAT (2024). By 2023, he had accumulated an impressive 150 gold singles, 82 platinum singles, and 45 diamond singles, cementing his legacy in French rap. Ninho has also expanded his influence beyond music, serving as an ambassador for EA Sports FC 24 in French-speaking regions and performing at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games closing ceremony, showcasing his cultural and social impact.
