MEOVV (미야오)

MEOVV (미야오) is a dynamic South Korean girl group formed by The Black Label, the renowned entertainment company behind artists like Jeon Somi and BLACKPINK’s Rosé. The group consists of five talented members: Sooin, Gawon, Anna, Narin, and Ella.

MEOVV’s journey began in March 2024, when The Black Label announced plans to form a new girl group. By April 2024, the company filed a trademark for the name “MEOVV,” signaling the start of something exciting. In August of that year, the group was officially introduced, with Ella Gross being the first member to be revealed. Following her introduction, the remaining members were unveiled, creating a buzz in the K-pop community. On September 6, 2024, MEOVV made their debut with the digital single “MEOW,” a track that showcased their unique style and concept, accompanied by an engaging music video.

The name “MEOVV” is an acronym for “My Eyes Open VVide,” with the “VV” stylized to add visual flair and reflect the group’s identity. In November 2024, MEOVV released their second single, “Toxic,” continuing to solidify their presence in the K-pop industry.

Expanding their reach internationally, the group signed a partnership with Capitol Records in August 2024. MEOVV’s influence continues to grow, as evidenced by their appointment as brand ambassadors for L’Oréal Paris in February 2025. The group also gained recognition at the 2024 MAMA Awards, winning the Favorite Rising Artist award and receiving multiple nominations.
