Mabel Matiz

Mabel Matiz, born Fatih Karaca on August 31, 1985, in Mersin, Turkey, is a renowned Turkish singer-songwriter celebrated for his unique fusion of pop, rock, and Middle Eastern musical influences. His stage name, inspired by the Turkish novel Kumral Ada Mavi Tuna by Buket Uzuner, reflects both his whimsical and introspective persona. “Mabel” comes from a character in the novel, and “Matiz” is an old Greek term meaning “drunk,” capturing his creative and reflective artistic nature.
