M Huncho, born Mujtaba Khan on November 17, 1993, in Kilburn, North West London, is a British rapper and singer celebrated for pioneering the “trapwave” sound—a smooth blend of trap beats, melodic flows, and introspective lyrics. Rising to prominence in 2017 with his standout Mad About Bars freestyle, he quickly gained attention for his masked persona and genre-blurring music.

Later that year, he dropped his debut EP Get Out, which introduced listeners to his hazy, hypnotic style. The following project, 48 Hours (2018), cemented his position as one of the UK scene’s most exciting voices. But it was his 2019 mixtape Utopia that truly catapulted him into the spotlight, earning widespread acclaim and racking up over 77 million streams globally. Songs like “Tranquility” showcased not just his flow, but his ability to tell deeply personal stories over ambient, trap-infused production.

In 2020, M Huncho returned with Huncholini the 1st, a chart-topping project that featured collaborations with names like Nafe Smallz and Headie One. The mixtape debuted at number five on the UK Albums Chart and included fan favorites like “Thumb,” further solidifying his commercial and critical success.

Beyond the music, M Huncho is known for his commitment to privacy. By wearing a mask in public, he keeps the focus squarely on his art rather than his image. His music touches on themes of ambition, pain, and growth, resonating with fans who value honesty and depth. With his distinct sound and thoughtful approach, M Huncho remains a standout figure in UK rap.
