Leiva, born José Miguel Conejo Torres on April 30, 1980, in Madrid, is a celebrated Spanish singer, songwriter, and musician. His rise to fame began as one-half of the iconic rock duo Pereza, alongside Rubén Pozo. Throughout the 2000s, the band became a staple of Spanish rock, releasing six albums that resonated with audiences for their fresh, rebellious sound. After a decade of success, Pereza disbanded in 2010, marking the beginning of Leiva’s journey as a solo artist.

Venturing out on his own, Leiva quickly established himself with the release of Diciembre in 2012, a record that showcased his introspective songwriting and distinctive blend of rock, pop, and Latin influences.
