Katarsis is a boundary-pushing Lithuanian band known for their haunting blend of alternative rock, post-punk, and art rock. Formed in 2020 in Vilnius, the group features lead vocalist and guitarist Lukas Radzevičius, guitarist Alanas Brasas, bassist Emilija Kandratavičiūtė, and drummer Jokūbas Andriulis. What began as a solo project by Radzevičius in 2019 soon evolved into a full band, allowing the group to channel their introspective and emotionally rich sound into live performances.

Katarsis first made waves in Lithuania’s underground music scene with the release of their debut EP Dausos in 2024. Their music is marked by melancholic melodies, poetic lyricism, and themes of existential reflection, often exploring inner struggles and human vulnerability.

Their rise reached new heights in 2025 when they represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest with the evocative track “Tavo akys” (“Your Eyes”). Written by Radzevičius and produced by Jurgis Masilionis, the song captivated audiences with its raw emotional depth and cinematic arrangement. It earned Lithuania one of its best Eurovision results to date—8th place with 218 points—garnering critical acclaim across Europe.

Katarsis stands out for their ability to merge modern soundscapes with distinctly Lithuanian soul. With their dark, introspective aesthetic and bold musical choices, they continue to carve a space in the international music scene, offering listeners an experience that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
