Shkodra Elektronike

Shkodra Elektronike is a boundary-pushing Albanian-Italian music duo made up of producer Kolë Laca and vocalist Beatriçe Gjergji. Formed in 2019, the duo draws deep inspiration from their shared roots in Shkodër, Albania, and their upbringing in Italy. Their music is a vibrant mix of past and present—blending traditional Albanian folk melodies with electronic beats and synth-heavy arrangements, a style they fittingly call “Post Immigrant Pop.”

They first made waves with their standout singles “Ku e Gjeta Vedin” and “Synin si Qershia,” released in 2020. These early tracks captured their signature sound: hauntingly nostalgic yet fresh and innovative. In 2022, they released Live @ Uzina, an experimental EP featuring the fan-favorite “Turtulleshë,” further cementing their unique position in the alt-pop and folktronica scenes.

Their biggest breakthrough came in 2024 when they won Albania’s prestigious Festivali i Këngës with the powerful track “Zjerm” (“Fire”). This win earned them the honor of representing Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. “Zjerm” was praised for its fusion of retro 1980s electronic textures and Balkan folk rhythms, carrying themes of passion, resilience, and transformation. Their bold performance earned them 8th place—one of Albania’s best-ever Eurovision finishes.

Shkodra Elektronike continues to redefine what it means to make modern Albanian music, offering a sound that is deeply rooted in heritage yet unafraid to evolve. Their work stands as a celebration of cultural identity, sonic experimentation, and artistic courage.
