By 14, Favela was already writing songs for established artists, proving his natural ability to craft meaningful lyrics and melodies. His early solo albums, La Reynalda and Andar Conmigo, laid the foundation for his career, blending traditional Mexican music with modern sounds. He also collaborated with groups like 3Ball MTY, expanding his artistic reach.
Favela quickly gained recognition as a songwriter, penning hits for artists such as Julión Álvarez, Banda Los Recoditos, and La Arrolladora Banda El Limón. His exceptional songwriting earned him the ASCAP Latin Songwriter of the Year award three years in a row (2016-2018), making him the youngest artist to receive this honor.
In 2016, he released Hecho a Mano, featuring standout singles like “Me Gusta Verte Arrepentida” and “Cuando Fuimos Nada.” The album received critical acclaim and multiple award nominations, including Best New Artist and Best Norteño Album at the Latin Grammys, as well as a Grammy nomination for Best Regional Mexican Music Album.
