(G)I-DLE, pronounced “Idle,” is a dynamic South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018. Originally debuting as a six-member team, the group now features Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua, after the departure of Soojin in 2021. Right from the start, (G)I-DLE stood out for their bold artistic vision and self-produced music — a rarity in the K-pop world. Leader Soyeon has played a major role in shaping their sound, writing and producing much of their discography.

Their debut EP I Am and the hit single “Latata” set the stage for a fearless and genre-blending career. Whether it’s pop, hip-hop, or EDM, (G)I-DLE isn’t afraid to experiment. Their 2022 album I Never Die catapulted them to international stardom, with the rebellious anthem “Tomboy” challenging traditional gender roles and resonating with fans around the globe.

Hits like “Nxde” and “Queencard” kept their momentum going, showcasing their ability to evolve both musically and visually. In 2024, they launched their third world tour, the I-dol World Tour, performing across Asia, North America, and Oceania, while also renewing their contracts with Cube Entertainment — a sign of their unity and long-term vision.

Now rebranded as I-dle in 2025, they’re celebrating their seventh anniversary with a special EP We Are I-dle and are set to release their next project We Are on May 19. With creativity and confidence at their core, (G)I-DLE continues to redefine what it means to be a global K-pop powerhouse.
