Hunxho

Ibrahim Muhammad Dodo, better known as Hunxho (pronounced “huncho”), is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter making waves in the hip-hop scene. Born on June 20, 1999, in Greensboro, North Carolina, he was raised in East Atlanta, Georgia, where he developed a strong connection to the city’s rich musical culture. Initially, Hunxho was passionate about basketball and even moved to Colorado for college. However, his love for music—shaped by influences like Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan, Skooly, Future, and Gucci Mane—eventually led him to pursue a full-time career in rap.

Hunxho’s journey in music began in 2017 when he wrote his first song, but his breakthrough moment arrived in 2021 with the single Let’s Get It. The track quickly gained traction and caught the attention of 21 Savage, who later hopped on the remix. The buzz surrounding the song landed Hunxho a deal with 300 Entertainment, and later that year, he dropped Street Poet 2, solidifying his place in the Atlanta rap scene.

Keeping up the momentum, Hunxho released Street Poetry in 2022, featuring collaborations with NoCap and other rising artists. He followed it up with Xhosen in June 2022, a deeply personal project dedicated to his son. In March 2023, he dropped his debut album, 22, a 22-track project reflecting his life experiences, struggles, and triumphs, with themes centered around his East Atlanta roots.

Outside of music, Hunxho is a father to two children, Xhosen and Xoe, born in 2022 and 2023. He is also a practicing Muslim, balancing his faith with his career in the fast-paced rap industry. Despite facing legal challenges, including a 2023 arrest in Atlanta, Hunxho remains committed to his craft, using his music as an outlet to share his journey and connect with his fans.
