Deep Kalsi, born Gagandeep Singh on November 6, 1996, in New Delhi, India, is a dynamic force in the Indian hip-hop scene. A gifted singer, music producer, and songwriter, he discovered his passion for music at an early age. Growing up in a culturally rich environment, he was influenced by traditional Punjabi sounds and inspired by artists like Bohemia. By the age of thirteen, he had already begun experimenting with music, releasing his first track and setting the stage for what would become a remarkable career.

In 2010, Deep co-founded the music group D-Freakers, a collective of like-minded artists eager to make their mark. The group performed at various local events, including an opening act for Bohemia at a New Year’s Eve concert. However, as their paths diverged, Deep decided to sharpen his skills further. In 2014, he enrolled at Beatfactory Academy to formally study music production. This led him to Mumbai, where he immersed himself in the hip-hop scene, attending cyphers and refining his artistry.

His breakthrough came in 2017 with the hit single “Woofer,” featuring Kr$na, which propelled him into the limelight. Deep continued to make waves with tracks like “Jean Teri” (with Jaz Dhami and Raftaar) and “Bajre Da Sitta” (featuring Rashmeet Kaur and IKKA). His signature sound blends classic Indian melodies with modern hip-hop, allowing him to stand out in the ever-evolving music industry.

Beyond his solo work, Deep has collaborated with numerous artists, including Karma on tracks like “Karmasutra” and “Narmahat Freestyle.” As a key member of Kalamkaar, he has worked with leading labels such as Zee Music and ALTBalaji, continually pushing the boundaries of Indian hip-hop.
