張敬軒 (Hins Cheung)

Hins Cheung (張敬軒), born Zhang Jingxuan on February 1, 1981, in Guangzhou, China, is a renowned Hong Kong-based singer, songwriter, producer, and actor whose emotive vocals and genre-crossing sound have made him a staple of both Cantopop and Mandopop.

Cheung’s passion for music emerged early—he began performing in bars as a teenager. At just 17, he made the bold move to Hong Kong, chasing a dream despite initial setbacks, including a fake recording contract. Undeterred, he self-produced his debut EP Hins’ First in 2001, a move that ultimately led to a deal with Universal Music and his first studio album My Way in 2002.

Throughout his career, Cheung has built a strong reputation for blending heartfelt ballads with rich, genre-spanning arrangements. Albums like Ardently Love (2007), Urban Emotions (2008), and The Brightest Darkness (2021) reflect his growth as an artist and his ability to connect deeply with listeners. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including top honors at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards and the Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Awards.

Outside of music, Cheung has shown his versatility as an actor in films like The Legend Is Born: Ip Man and Everything Under Control. He’s also a savvy entrepreneur, founding Avon Recording Studios and investing in ventures such as high-end bridal fashion and upscale dining.

In 2024, his global influence was on full display during “The Next 20 HINS CHEUNG LIVE AROUND THE WORLD” tour, where he became the first Chinese artist to perform at New York’s UBS Arena.
