Elder Dayán Díaz Rodríguez, born on October 29, 1987, in Fundación, Magdalena, Colombia, is a prominent vallenato singer, composer, and musician. He is the son of the legendary artist Diomedes Díaz and Rosmery Rodríguez, and from a young age, he showed a natural talent for music.

At just 13 years old, Elder Dayán was encouraged by his mother to participate in local talent competitions in Bucaramanga, which led him to join the tropical music orchestra of accordionist Miguel Avendaño. Together, they released the album Ya Llegó in 2006, featuring hits like “Me Complicas La Vida” and “Como Hago.” This marked the beginning of his musical journey.

Throughout his career, Elder Dayán has collaborated with numerous renowned accordionists, including Luis Guillermo De La Hoz. Together, they produced albums such as Presente (2009), El Conquistador (2014), and Tiempo De Victoria (2016), with tracks like “Laberinto” and “No Tienes Que Mentir.” Later, he worked with Rolando Ochoa, releasing successful albums like Descontrol Total (2018) and El Disco Que Me Gusta (2019), featuring popular songs like “Amantes” and “La Persona De Mi Vida.” In 2022, he joined forces with accordionist Lucas Dangond, releasing Para Ustedes and performing a historic concert at the Parque de la Leyenda Vallenata.
