Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran, born Edward Christopher Sheeran on February 17, 1991, in Halifax, England, is an internationally acclaimed British singer-songwriter known for his unique fusion of folk, pop, R&B, rock, and hip-hop elements. His musical journey began at an early age, learning to play the guitar at 11 and writing his first songs as a teenager. Sheeran moved to London in 2008, where he performed at small venues, gaining recognition and eventually releasing the EP No. 5 Collaborations Project in 2011. This led to a deal with Asylum Records, setting the stage for his breakthrough.

His debut album + (“Plus”) dropped in 2011, with the single “The A Team” becoming a hit, earning him multiple awards, including Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. Sheeran’s follow-up albums, x (“Multiply”) and ÷ (“Divide”), continued his success, with “Shape of You” from Divide becoming one of the most-streamed songs globally. In 2023, Sheeran released –, (“Subtract”), followed by Autumn Variations later that year. In 2025, he announced his next album, Play, marking a new phase in his musical evolution.
