About Duki

Mauro Ezequiel Lombardo Quiroga, professionally known as Duki, is an influential Argentine rapper, singer, and songwriter who has shaped the Latin trap music scene. Born on June 24, 1996, in Almagro, Buenos Aires, Duki was raised in the La Paternal neighborhood in a family that exposed him to a wide array of musical genres, from Argentine rock to Latin pop. His mother, a fan of Alejandro Sanz, and his father, a Queen and Virus enthusiast, contributed to his eclectic musical background, while his brother Nahuel introduced him to Argentine icons like Charly García and Luis Alberto Spinetta. His teenage years saw him gravitate toward hip hop, inspired by international artists like Eminem and 50 Cent and the punk rock energy of Linkin Park. Duki’s passion for freestyle rap battles was ignited after he witnessed his first neighborhood battle in 2012, leading him to drop out of high school to focus on music.

Duki’s rise to fame began through his participation in El Quinto Escalón, one of Argentina’s most important rap battles, where he won in 2016. His victory provided him with the opportunity to record his debut single, “No Vendo Trap,” which marked the start of his musical journey. The singles “She Don’t Give a FO” and “Hello Cotto” soon followed, racking up millions of views on YouTube and solidifying his status as a key player in the Argentine trap scene. In 2018, Duki joined forces with YSY A and Neo Pistea to form Modo Diablo, a pivotal trap trio that set new standards for the genre in Argentina. By 2019, he released his first studio album, Súper Sangre Joven, whose lead single, “Goteo,” earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Rap/Hip Hop Song, amplifying his reach across Latin America.

In 2020, Duki’s collaboration with Bad Bunny and Pablo Chill-E on the track “Hablamos Mañana” brought him further acclaim, securing another Latin Grammy nomination. That same year, he celebrated his birthday with the release of an EP titled 24, which featured American rapper Juicy J. Duki’s creative output continued with a YouTube interview series called Fideos con Duko, where he conversed with Argentine artists, adding an interactive element to his artistic expression. His ambitious approach extended into 2021 with the release of his second album, Desde el Fin del Mundo, an experimental project blending trap, electro dance, drill, and punk rock. This album, featuring a roster of South American collaborators, aimed to spotlight regional talent and received praise for Duki’s evolving versatility and lyrical growth.

Following Desde el Fin del Mundo, Duki expanded his musical scope with Temporada de Reggaetón, an album embracing reggaeton influences that further diversified his sound and reached the Top 10 Global Album Debuts on Spotify. In 2022, Duki returned to his trap roots with the highly anticipated single “Givenchy” and teased his upcoming project, Temporada de Diablos.

On a personal front, Duki’s relationships have often made headlines; he previously dated actress Brenda Asnicar and influencer Iara Miranda and is currently dating singer Emilia Mernes. Known for his impactful collaborations, Duki has worked with prominent artists such as YSY A, Cazzu, Khea, and Bad Bunny, making him a central figure in Latin trap and a pioneer of Argentina’s evolving music landscape. Set to embark on his Ameri World Tour in 2025, Duki continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his relentless innovation and dynamic sound.
