Blxst, born Matthew Dean Burdette on September 17, 1992, in South Central Los Angeles, is a versatile rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer who has made waves by blending West Coast hip-hop with smooth R&B elements. Raised in a strict Jehovah’s Witness household, Blxst developed a strong passion for music early on, drawing inspiration from iconic artists like Kanye West and Jay-Z.

In 2015, Blxst took a significant step in his career by founding his own label, Evgle, and started producing music videos with a unique vintage style. His early work with the hip-hop collective TIU Muzic helped him cultivate a local fanbase. His big break came in 2020 with the release of his debut EP No Love Lost, which featured the platinum-certified hit “Chosen,” a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign and Tyga. This track skyrocketed his popularity and cemented his place in the industry.

Blxst continued to rise with the release of his 2022 mixtape Before You Go and his highly anticipated 2024 debut studio album I’ll Always Come Find You, which showcased collaborations with artists like Ty Dolla $ign, Anderson .Paak, and Offset.
