Amit Mishra

Amit Mishra, born on February 15, 1989, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is a celebrated Indian playback singer known for his powerful vocals and versatility. From an early age, he displayed a passion for music, balancing his academic pursuits with rigorous training at the Bhatkhande Music Institute. While studying for a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Lucknow University, Amit was also the lead vocalist for the band TRISHNA, which gained recognition after making it to the top four in the Idea Rocks India 2009 competition.

His big break in Bollywood came in 2016 with Bulleya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. His intense and soul-stirring rendition of the track earned him widespread acclaim and several prestigious awards, including the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent, the Screen Award for Best Male Playback Singer, and an IIFA Award.

Following this success, Amit continued to make waves with hit songs like Manma Emotion Jaage (Dilwale, 2015), Sau Tarah Ke (Dishoom, 2016), and Radio (Tubelight, 2017). His ability to adapt to different musical styles has allowed him to contribute to multiple Indian film industries, recording songs in Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, and Marathi.

In 2018, he stepped into the independent music scene with his single Vacation, collaborating with fellow musicians Nishith Hegde and Ashwin Shriyan. This venture showcased his love for diverse genres, including old-school rock and roll.
