Amaarae, born Ama Serwah Genfi on July 4, 1994, is a Ghanaian-American singer, songwriter, producer, and engineer who has captivated the music world with her unique blend of Afropop, R&B, and alternative sounds. Raised between Accra, Ghana, and various U.S. cities, including New York, New Jersey, and Atlanta, her diverse cultural background deeply influences her eclectic musical style.

Amaarae embarked on her professional music journey in 2017 with the release of her debut EP, Passionfruit Summers. However, it was her 2020 album, The Angel You Don’t Know, that garnered widespread critical acclaim.
