About Young Multi
Michaà Rychlik, known professionally as Young Multi, is a Polish trap artist and songwriter born on February 1, 1997. He is the founder of the Young Family Label (YFL) and has collaborated with prominent Polish artists such as Bedoes, Peja, ûabson, and 2115. His music career began to take off in 2017 with the release of his debut album Nowa fala, which debuted at number one on the OLiS charts, selling over 30,000 copies. This early success cemented his presence in the Polish music scene, and he followed up with his second album Trapstar in 2018. In late 2019, Young Multi released a limited-edition EP, Trap After Death, in collaboration with producer Fast Life Sharky, further showcasing his versatility within the trap genre. His fourth album, Toxic, was released on December 17, 2021.
Before venturing into music, MichaĆ started his career as a YouTuber. In 2010, he launched his first YouTube channel, “MultiGamePlayGuy,” where he commented on video game gameplay. His charismatic style gained him a significant following, and he collaborated with fellow YouTubers like ReZi and Stuu. As his musical ambitions grew, MichaĆ distanced himself from his YouTube past, setting many of his early videos to private. Despite this, some of his older content resurfaced through reuploads and live streams, allowing fans to revisit his origins. This shift in focus led him to establish himself as a musician, moving from online gaming content to the trap music scene.
In 2015, MichaĆ formed the Angel Boyz Gang (ABG) with friends like Merghani, MatiaX, and Deelx. Their first music video, “Nie Wiem,” released in August 2015, marked Young Multi’s entry into the music world. The video gained significant attention, with appearances from his YouTuber friends and even his father, Ryszard Rychlik. Throughout 2016, Young Multi continued to release music videos, including “Stop” and “TĐŻON,” which laid the groundwork for his first solo album, Nowa fala, released at the end of 2017. The album’s success skyrocketed his popularity, keeping him at the top of the charts throughout December 2017.
As his career evolved, MichaĆ distanced himself further from his YouTuber identity. In 2017, he rebranded his image, adopting his signature dreadlocks and focusing fully on music. He released the popular single “Backpack,” which became a massive hit, amassing millions of views. His collaborations with artists like Bedoes in the song “Diamonds” helped elevate his profile within the Polish trap scene. However, he also faced criticism from fellow artists, notably Szpaku, who dissed him in the song “Quality Control.” Despite the controversies, Young Multi’s fan base continued to grow, and his work with YFL, founded in late 2017, allowed him to build his own music label.
In 2019, Young Multi further solidified his place in the Polish trap scene with Trap After Death, an EP that received critical praise for its production quality and improved vocal performance. Although criticized for shallow lyrics, the EP showcased his growth as an artist, cementing his influence in the trap genre.
