Kris Barman, better known by his stage name Wuki, is an American DJ, producer, and musician who has made significant waves in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene. Born on December 20, 1984, in New Jersey, Wuki’s passion for music started in his teenage years, initially playing guitar before diving into electronic music production using programs like Fruity Loops.

Before embarking on his solo career, Wuki was a member of the electronic rock band Innerpartysystem from 2007 to 2011, where he showcased his skills as a vocalist, guitarist, and synthesizer player. After the band’s breakup, Wuki moved to Denver, Colorado, where he redefined his musical path and adopted the Wuki moniker. He found inspiration in Detroit ghettotech and Chicago footwork, blending trap, dubstep, and house music to create a unique sound that has captivated EDM listeners worldwide.

Wuki’s work has led to exciting collaborations with major artists such as Diplo, A-Trak, Steve Aoki, and Tujamo. One of his standout moments came with a remix of Miley Cyrus’s “Mother’s Daughter,” which earned him a nomination for Best Remixed Recording at the 2020 Grammy Awards. In 2021, he released his debut album WukiWorld, featuring collaborations with big names like Diplo, Shaquille O’Neal, and Juvenile.

Known for his high-energy performances, Wuki has graced some of the biggest stages and festivals, including Red Rocks and HARD Summer. His ability to merge various genres and keep crowds energized has solidified his place as a prominent figure in the EDM world.
