About Willow Avalon

Willow Avalon, born Willow Martin on August 20, 1998, in Carlton, Georgia, is an emerging country singer-songwriter who blends Americana, folk, pop, and alternative sounds into a unique musical style. The daughter of musician Jim White, whose song “Bluebird” was inspired by her, Willow grew up surrounded by music, which played a formative role in her life.

From an early age, Willow was immersed in the sounds of her rural Georgia upbringing. She started playing piano at her local Baptist church and taught herself guitar at the age of 12. Her first word was “Elvis,” a nod to her deep love for music. At 15, she left home and faced hardships, including living out of her car in Atlanta, before moving to Los Angeles at 17, where her talent began to shine. It was in LA that she wrote “Drivin’,” a song that gained viral popularity on TikTok, ultimately leading to a record deal with Atlantic Records.

In February 2024, Willow released her debut EP, Stranger, recorded at the iconic Electric Lady Studios in New York City. The EP earned praise for its raw, intimate storytelling. Building on this success, she dropped her debut album, Southern Belle Raisin’ Hell, in January 2025, which features a mugshot on the cover from a wrongful arrest, giving the album an added personal depth.

Willow’s music reflects her journey—from small-town life to the fast-paced streets of New York City—resonating deeply with audiences through its authenticity and emotional intensity.
