Whitearmor

Ludwig Rosenberg, better known as Whitearmor, is a Swedish music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter, born on May 17, 1993, in Stockholm. He is best recognized as a key member of the influential Swedish music collective Drain Gang, alongside Bladee, Ecco2K, Thaiboy Digital, and Yung Sherman. Whitearmor’s music is a blend of ambient, cloud rap, and experimental electronic sounds, often distinguished by its soft, fluid textures.

Whitearmor’s early musical influences ranged from Bob Marley and Slipknot to trap artists like Waka Flocka Flame. He began his musical journey as a drummer in an indie rock band during his teenage years before transitioning into electronic and hip-hop music production. In 2010, he began releasing music under aliases such as DJ Creep and DJ Cannabiz before adopting the name Whitearmor in 2012.

In 2013, Whitearmor co-founded Drain Gang, helping shape the collective’s signature sound. His collaborations with other Drain Gang members, including Bladee, Ecco2K, and Thaiboy Digital, have been instrumental in the collective’s rise. Whitearmor also worked on the project VilloVilduVeta with Joakim Benon of the Swedish band jj. In 2022, he released his debut solo album, In the Abyss: Music for Weddings, which further explores his ambient and experimental approach.

While maintaining a low-key public profile, Whitearmor’s music continues to influence the cloud-rap scene and resonates deeply with a new generation of listeners.
