Virtual Riot

Christian Valentin Brunn, better known by his stage name Virtual Riot, is a German DJ, electronic music producer, and one of the most influential figures in the dubstep and riddim scenes. Born on July 20, 1994, in Marl, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Virtual Riot has gained international acclaim for his innovative sound and genre-blending approach to electronic music.

Starting his musical journey at the age of 13, Virtual Riot initially experimented with ambient dubstep and future garage under the alias Your Personal Tranquilizer. He later emerged as Virtual Riot in 2011 with his debut EP From Space on Phantom Hertz Recordings. Over the years, his music has evolved, with notable releases like Chemistry (2016) and German Engineering (2018), both of which saw commercial success, charting on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic charts.

Virtual Riot’s collaborations have earned him multiple Beatport chart hits, including tracks like “One For All, All For One” with Razihel and “Cali Born” with Helicopter Showdown. Known for his dynamic production style, his music combines heavy bass drops with melodic elements, often drawing comparisons to artists like Savant.

Beyond producing, Virtual Riot has built a significant presence on platforms like YouTube and SoundCloud, where he shares music, tutorials, and sample packs for aspiring producers. His performances at iconic festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival, Coachella, and Tomorrowland further highlight his global reach. In 2019, he signed a publishing deal with Skrillex’s label, OWSLA, solidifying his place in the EDM community.
