Vincenzo

Vincenzo Cassano, the protagonist of the South Korean drama Vincenzo, is a complex character brought to life by actor Song Joong-ki. Born as Park Joo-hyung in South Korea, Vincenzo’s life took a dramatic turn when he was adopted by an Italian family at the age of eight. Unfortunately, his adoptive parents died in an accident, leaving him vulnerable until he was taken in by Don Fabio, the head of the Cassano Mafia Family. Under Don Fabio’s guidance, Joo-hyung was renamed Vincenzo and trained as both a lawyer and a mafia consigliere, eventually becoming a trusted figure within the family business.

After Don Fabio’s death, Vincenzo’s adoptive brother, Paolo, took over the family leadership. However, Paolo’s jealousy and resentment towards Vincenzo led to a deadly betrayal, forcing Vincenzo to flee back to South Korea. There, he gets caught up in a legal dispute involving Geumga Plaza, an old building hiding ₩150 billion worth of gold. To make matters worse, the building is set for demolition by the powerful Babel Group, a corrupt pharmaceutical conglomerate with deep ties to government officials.

Teaming up with the quirky tenants of Geumga Plaza and Hong Cha-young, a sharp-witted lawyer at Jipuragi Law Firm, Vincenzo uses his unique blend of legal expertise and mafia skills to bring down the Babel Group. Over the course of the series, Vincenzo transforms from a ruthless, calculating figure into someone who genuinely cares about justice and loyalty, navigating the fine line between law and vengeance.
