Uzielito Mix

Uzielito Mix, born Carlos Uziel Pérez Romo on March 12, 1998, in Mexico City, is a trailblazing DJ and producer credited with helping shape the sound of reggaetón Mexa—Mexico’s homegrown spin on urban Latin music. As the founder of Candela Music, Uzielito has played a key role in the rise of numerous emerging artists, including Michael G and Chino el Gorila, building a vibrant platform for new talent in the country’s underground reggaetón scene.

His signature style mixes the pulse of old-school reggaetón with modern electronic textures and raw street energy, resulting in tracks that are both nostalgic and fresh. Anthems like “Suena Perreo” and “Se Menea” have become staples in Latin club culture, while his production on viral hits like “Línea del Perreo” by Yeri Mua and El Jordan 23—garnering over 120 million views on YouTube—cemented his reputation as a producer with global impact.

Outside the studio, Uzielito has brought the sound of Mexico’s perreo movement to some of the world’s biggest stages. He made waves in 2022 when he opened for Bad Bunny in Mexico City, introducing a mainstream audience to the gritty flair of reggaetón Mexa. His collaborations, including “Otro Show” with El Bogueto and Dani Flow, and the J Balvin-assisted remix of “G Low Kitty,” show his knack for blending underground flavor with mainstream appeal.
