Tommy Lee Sparta, born Leroy Russell Jr. on November 4, 1987, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, is a trailblazing Jamaican dancehall artist famous for his innovative “Gothic Dancehall” style. Raised in the Flankers community, he found his passion for music early, performing at local events while attending Anchovy High School. His career took a major leap forward when he joined Adidjahiem Records and became part of the influential Portmore Empire, working under the mentorship of dancehall icon Vybz Kartel.

Tommy Lee Sparta rose to prominence in 2010 with the release of his breakout track “Warn Dem,” produced by Da Wiz at Snipa Studios. The song’s success catapulted him into the dancehall limelight, leading to subsequent hits like “Some Bwoy,” “Psycho,” and “Shook (Uncle Demon).” In 2012, he officially adopted the stage name “Tommy Lee Sparta,” reflecting his roots from the Sparta area of Flankers. His music, known for its darker, more controversial themes, has earned him the moniker “Uncle Demon.”
