Tiger

Tiger JK, born Seo Jung-kwon on July 29, 1974, in Seoul, South Korea, is a groundbreaking rapper, producer, and entrepreneur who has played a crucial role in shaping the Korean hip-hop scene.

At the age of 12, Tiger JK moved to the United States, spending time in Miami, Florida, before settling in Los Angeles, California. During his time in LA, he witnessed the 1992 riots, an experience that inspired him to use hip-hop as a powerful tool to connect different communities. After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in English, he returned to South Korea in 1995 to pursue a career in music.

In 1999, he co-founded the iconic hip-hop group Drunken Tiger, which was instrumental in bringing hip-hop into the mainstream in Korea. Tiger JK has also made his mark as a founder of two influential record labels, Jungle Entertainment and Feel Ghood Music. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of the hip-hop trio MFBTY.

Throughout his illustrious career, Tiger JK has earned recognition both in South Korea and internationally for his contributions to music and culture. His journey from Los Angeles to Seoul reflects his commitment to bridging cultural divides through music, solidifying his position as a pioneering figure in the industry.
