The Plot In You

The Plot in You is an American metalcore band that emerged in 2010 from Hancock County, Ohio. Originally started as a solo project by vocalist Landon Tewers after leaving Before Their Eyes, the project quickly gained momentum and evolved into a full band with guitarist Josh Childress, bassist Ethan Yoder, and drummer Cole Worden. Their early sound was raw and intense, often delving into dark, personal themes that resonated with fans of heavy music.

Their first release, the Wife Beater EP (2010), set the tone for their unfiltered and aggressive style, followed by their debut album, First Born (2011), which established them in the metalcore scene. With Could You Watch Your Children Burn (2013), the band refined their sound while maintaining their signature emotional depth and intensity.

In 2015, Happiness in Self-Destruction marked a turning point, blending haunting melodies with deeply personal lyrics. The album was released under Stay Sick Recordings and was praised for its emotional weight. The band took a more experimental approach with Dispose (2018), shifting toward alternative rock and electronic influences. This evolution continued with Swan Song (2021), further pushing genre boundaries.

The band continued to release new music, with singles like “Divide” (2022) and “Left Behind” (2023), proving their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots. With lineup changes over the years, including drummer Michael Cooper joining in 2021, The Plot in You remains known for their powerful live performances and deeply introspective music that explores themes of pain, relationships, and self-discovery.
