Thasup

Davide Mattei, better known by his stage name Thasup (formerly Tha Supreme), is a boundary-pushing Italian rapper, singer, producer, and songwriter born on March 17, 2001, in Fiumicino, near Rome. A self-taught musical prodigy, he began producing tracks at just 14 and made the bold decision to leave school at 16 to fully commit to his creative path.

Thasup first caught major attention in 2017 when he produced Salmo’s hit single Perdonami, a moment that catapulted him into the spotlight. Shortly after, he began carving out his own sound, blending trap, electronic, and alt-hip-hop elements into something uniquely his. His debut album 23 6451 dropped in 2019 and was a game-changer—racking up over 13 million streams in a day and dominating the Italian charts for weeks.

In 2022, he followed it up with c@ra++ere s?ec!@le, a second studio album that pushed even further into experimental territory. Featuring collaborations with major Italian artists like Coez, Mara Sattei (his sister), Tiziano Ferro, and Sfera Ebbasta, the project cemented Thasup’s place as one of Italy’s most innovative music voices.

Despite personal struggles, including a period of hospitalization due to anxiety in 2023, Thasup continues to evolve. His 2024 releases—Sfaciolate Mixtape and Casa Gospel with Mara Sattei—showcase his emotional range and creative growth.
