Suki Waterhouse is the stage name of Alice Suki Waterhouse, born on January 5, 1992, in Hammersmith, London. She is an English singer-songwriter, actress, and model who has made significant strides in the entertainment and fashion industries. Known for her multifaceted talent, Waterhouse’s career spans music, film, and modeling, earning her a reputation as one of the most versatile figures in contemporary pop culture.

Waterhouse began her modeling career at the tender age of 16 after being discovered in London, either in a Topshop or H&M store. By 19, she had already made a name for herself as a lingerie model for Marks and Spencer, setting the stage for her future endeavors in the fashion world. Over the years, she has modeled for several high-profile fashion labels, including Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Laura Mercier, and Ferragamo. Her striking looks and unique style have graced the covers of major fashion magazines such as British, Korean, Thai, Taiwanese, and Turkish Vogue, as well as British and Korean Elle. Waterhouse has also worked with top brands like Alexander Wang and Balenciaga, frequently appearing on the front row at fashion week events around the world.

In addition to modeling, Waterhouse has pursued a successful acting career. She made her feature film debut in 2012 with a minor role in Pusher, and soon after, she starred in notable films such as Love, Rosie (2013), The Divergent Series: Insurgent (2015), and The Bad Batch (2016). Her performances in these films demonstrated her ability to transition seamlessly from modeling to acting. In 2023, she took on the role of Karen Sirko, a British keyboardist, in the musical drama miniseries Daisy Jones & the Six, a role that allowed her to merge her love for music with her acting career.

Waterhouse’s passion for music has been a driving force throughout her career. She released her first single, “Brutally,” in November 2016, followed by “Good Looking” in 2017, which later became a viral hit in 2022. These early releases laid the foundation for her music career, leading to the release of her debut studio album I Can’t Let Go in May 2022. The album was a reflection of her indie pop sensibilities and showcased her talent as a singer-songwriter. Later that year, she compiled several of her singles into her debut extended play (EP), Milk Teeth, further establishing her presence in the music industry. Her sophomore album, Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, is set to release on September 13, 2024, and she is scheduled to embark on her Sparklemuffin Tour later that month.

Beyond her artistic pursuits, Waterhouse co-founded the accessories brand Pop & Suki in 2016, alongside her best friend Poppy Jamie and CEO Leo Seigal. The brand quickly gained popularity, with celebrities like Jessica Alba, Lady Gaga, and Emily Ratajkowski donning its products. The success of Pop & Suki further cemented Waterhouse’s status as a fashion icon and entrepreneur.

In 2024, Waterhouse’s musical career reached new heights as she was announced as an opening act for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium. This opportunity underscores her growing influence in the music world and marks another milestone in her diverse and accomplished career.
