Sorana Paula Păcurar, better known mononymously as Sorana, is a Romanian singer, songwriter, and performer who has quickly risen to prominence in the global pop music scene. Born and raised in Romania, Sorana’s love for music started at a young age, first gaining attention as a participant on The X Factor Romania. She later became a member of the popular group Lala Band, where she honed her skills. After making the move to London and Los Angeles, Sorana’s career took off, with the release of her debut single “Povești” in 2015 marking the official start of her musical journey.

Sorana’s big breakthrough came in 2018 when she collaborated with Alan Walker on the track “Lost Control.” The song went on to become a massive hit, amassing over 500 million views on YouTube, and helping to cement her position within the electronic music world. She then proved her songwriting prowess by co-writing several chart-topping tracks, including “Takeaway” by The Chainsmokers, ILLENIUM, and Lennon Stella, as well as “Heartbreak Anthem” by Galantis, David Guetta, and Little Mix.
